Short Biography:

Aindra Prabhu received harinama-diksa on Nityananda Trayodasi in 1974 from His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in Washington D.C. For years, he dedicated himself to temple service as a pujari while actively engaging in harinama-sankirtana and book distribution in his community.

After numerous visits to Sri Vrindavan dhama, he felt a calling to revive the 24-hour kirtana originally established by Srila Prabhupada in 1975 at the Krishna-Balarama Mandir. In 1986, Aindra Prabhu settled in Vrindavan-dhama and devoted the next 24 years to coordinating and guiding this continuous kirtana. His powerful daily kirtanas inspired both local devotees and visitors from afar. His recordings and teachings continue to spread the divine ambiance of Sri Vrindavan-dhama globally.

Aindra Prabhu departed from this world in Vrindavan on the evening of July 16, 2010, at the lotus feet of his Deities beside the Krishna-Balarama Mandir. He is fondly remembered as Sripad Aindra Das Babaji Maharaja, leaving behind a legacy of devoted followers mourning his absence.

Aindra Prabhu emphasized the importance of authentic spiritual practice: "Get fired up! Do the real thing, the yuga-dharma, harinam-sankirtan! There is no other yuga-dharma for any one of us. There is no way you’re going to get Krishna-prema in this Kali-yuga if you don’t do the Kali-yuga-dharma with complete affection enthusiastically chanting the Holy Name of the Lord!"
